Our Story

spent flora gowns are created from conception through sewing and dying by Karin Gillingham in California. Because all of our bodies are unique and deserve to feel as magical as they are, most gowns are one size and flatter a wide variety of bodies. Gowns are created with a variety of natural and low impact fiber reactive dyes and each is labeled with its ingredients for full transparency.

I sew these gowns. I design them and I dye the fabrics. Every step of this process is done by me (after the fabric is woven). Your purchase of a spent flora gown supports a working artist who can continue to make pieces whose sole goal is to make people feel beautiful.
